My classes

As an assured admit to the Hussman School of Journalism and Media, I have taken many MEJO classes as I plan to major in the subject, such as Intro to Digital Storytelling (Mejo 121), Principals of Advertising and Public Relation (Mejo 137) and Writing and Reporting (Mejo 153) which has allowed me to explore different ways to express creativity and become a better storyteller. I have gained the skills of understanding how to write in journalism and the basic concepts of advertising and public relations. In MEJO 121, I acquired the skills of using HTML and CSS to code websites and pages, Premiere Pro to create and edit stories, and Canvas to make digital creations. I plan to join the marketing club at UNC and am taking a summer class in London to learn basic marketing skills. I am also taking Media Ethics and Advertising and Public Relations Research in the fall of 2025, where I will expand my skills and knowledge even more.

FAQs

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy being around people and exploring new places, foods, and more. I also enjoy practicing interior design as I create room ideas on Canva and am passionate about it. I love going on long walks with my dog and friends.

What do you hope for in the future?

I hope to live in New York City after college and work for a marketing or advertising company. I want to be able to use my creativity in any work that I do.

What skills do you hold?

I have experience in leadership as I was on student council in highschool and came up with events and organized them. I learned how to use Canva, Premiere Pro, HTML, and WordPress while taking MEJO 121, and feel as though I can confidently use those skills in my future career.
